1. Who provides Lauther
Lauther is provided by Dipling, Hungary (“we”, “us”). Contact: hello@lauther.id.
2. What Lauther does
Lauther delivers notifications to your device and lets websites and apps identify you by a pseudonymous, per-service identifier instead of an email address. Using it requires an account, which exists so you can recover your identities if you lose your device.
3. Your account
- You are responsible for keeping your device and the email account you sign in with secure — there is no password; your email is the key.
- One person, one account. Don't share credentials.
- You must be at least 16 years old, or the minimum age for data consent where you live.
- You may delete your account at any time by writing to hello@lauther.id.
4. Acceptable use
Don't use Lauther to:
- Send unlawful, harassing, deceptive or abusive messages.
- Send unsolicited bulk messages, or messages to people who revoked you.
- Impersonate a person, business or service — including registering a service under a name you don't own.
- Attack, overload or probe the service, or work around rate limits and quotas.
- Break the law, or help anyone else do so.
5. If you operate a service
When you register a service and connect users through Lauther, you also agree that you will:
- Only send messages a user has agreed to receive, and stop immediately when they revoke you.
- Not attempt to de-anonymise users, or to correlate Lauther identifiers with other identifiers you hold about them.
- Not represent yourself as a business you are not — verify your domain if you want your name shown as verified.
- Keep your service API key server-side and treat it as a secret.
- Handle any personal data a user chooses to share with you in line with applicable data-protection law. For that data you are the controller, not us.
6. Availability, and what we don't promise
Lauther is currently offered free of charge and without a service level agreement. We work to keep it reliable, but we do not guarantee that every notification will be delivered, delivered on time, or delivered at all. Delivery depends on Google's and Apple's push networks, your device, its battery settings and its network — all outside our control.
7. Changes to the service
We may add, change or remove features, and we may introduce paid plans. If we ever charge for something that is free today, we will give you clear notice first and you will not be billed without agreeing. Features that protect your security — account recovery, biometric protection, revoking a service — will stay free.
8. Suspension and termination
You may stop using Lauther at any time. We may suspend or terminate an account or service that breaks these terms, endangers other users, or exposes us to legal risk — normally with notice, and immediately where the harm is serious.
9. Liability
To the extent the law allows, Lauther is provided “as is”, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost profits, or loss arising from a message that was delayed or not delivered. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited — including for death, personal injury, or fraud. If you are a consumer, your statutory rights are unaffected.
10. Intellectual property
The Lauther name, logo and software are ours. The content you send and receive remains yours. Documentation and integration examples may be used freely to build against the API.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by Hungarian law, and the courts of Hungary have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer in the EU, you keep the protections of your home country's law and may bring proceedings there.
